PGA Tour 2015: Rory McIlroy Wants to Play Golf with Kanye West, Eminem, One Direction and More

Yeezus walked on water, cured world hunger and invented the 16-bar format, but he hasn't stepped foot on the golf course with the world's No. 1.

Not yet at least.

In an interview with Billboard, Rory McIlroy—along with several others—were asked which musician he would love to go 18 holes with. The answer proved to be another example of "real recognize real."

"Kanye West," McIlroy said (via Billboard). "I would love to spend four or five hours in his company just to see what he's like. It would be very interesting."

Along with McIlroy, Jason Day, Luke Donald, Christina Kim and Matt Every all chimed in on their dream pairings.

Jason Day: "One Direction because I listen to them so much thanks to my son Dash and my wife Ellie."

Luke Donald: "I'm a big EDM fan—I love my electronic dance music—so Calvin Harris. He's doing some good stuff."

Christina Kim: "Eminem, to talk to him about life, his struggles and how he views the world would be amazing."

Matt Every: "Noel Gallagher, because he's the best ever in history."

Unfortunately for McIlroy, he'll have to settle for the mundane at the 2015 U.S. Open next Thursday. The current world No. 1 is taking a much-needed break before his visit to Chambers Bay. After shooting 21 under to win the Wells Fargo championship for his seventh victory in 12 months, he failed to make the cut at the BMW PGA Championship and Irish Open, tournaments where he was serving as the host.
