ROCKIES vs MARLINS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Colorado at Miami Preview

Tonight at 7:10 p.m. ET, the Colorado Rockies (27-32) and Miami Marlins (25-36) take the field at Marlins Park for the second match of a four-game series live from Miami.

Colorado looks to bounce back from dropping two consecutive contests as it continues a six-game road trip while Miami resumes a six-match homestand after snapping a three-game skid on Thursday.

The Marlins blanked the Rockies 6-0 on Thursday to open up this series.

Kyle Kendrick (2-7, 6.16 ERA) takes the ball for Colorado while Miami counters with rookie Jose Urena and he is 0-2 thus far this campaign with a 5.49 ERA.

The Rockies took two of three from the Marlins last weekend in Colorado and Kendrick pitched seven strong innings in the team's loss on Sunday, but lacked run support. Urena, who makes his fourth MLB start and second at home, shut down the Rockies in six innings during that same game.

In their last meeting, both pitchers received no-decisions. Kendrick yielded two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and one walk while Urena came close to his first victory in surrendering one run on three hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

Kendrick will face a Miami lineup that is paced by second baseman Dee Gordon, who leads the MLB with a .356 batting average and 88 hits thus far. He's also second in the National League with 20 stolen bases.

Giancarlo Stanton is another threat in the Marlins order as he is first in the MLB with 22 homers and 55 RBI and ranks third in total bases (135) and fifth in slugging percentage (.590). Stanton also leads the league with 84 strikeouts. Stanton went deep on Thursday.

Colorado has several weapons is its lineup as D.J. LeMahieu is second in the National League in batting average (.351) and tied for fourth in hits (73). Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is tied for third in the NL with 47 RBI and Charlie Blackmon is fifth with 13 stolen bases.

Both teams enter tonight with a lot of ground to make up as Colorado is in last place in the NL West, 7.5 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami is in fourth in the NL East, seven games behind the division-leading New York Mets.

The Rockies and Marlins continue a four-game series live tonight from Marlins Park in Miami.
