It's never too late, apparently, for an Oscar Pistorius conspiracy theory.
CBS News' Crimesider blog suggested that Pistorius' shooting of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day, 2013, bore a significant resemblance to another murder case that originated more than a year and a half earlier.

A Florida woman, Caryn Kelly, was charged with first degree murder in the shooting of boyfriend Phillip Peatross on July 27, 2011. The charge later was reduced to manslaughter. The Crimesider blog noted many similarities between Kelly's ordeal and the 'Blade Runner's.'
Kelly, who lived alone, was awakened from a deep sleep at her Orlando, Fla., home in the middle of the night by the sounds of someone entering her home.
Rather than call 911 for help, Kelly reached under her bed for a revolver her brother had given her years earlier. She pointed the gun at the bedroom door.
The "intruder" turned out to be Peatross, who entered the room after the two had been arguing about their relationship earlier that evening, according to the Crimesider blog.
Kelly, however, revealed that she had recognized Peatross, but somehow the two ended up in a struggle for the gun. It went off and ended up shooting him in the face, killing him.
According to the report, Kelly gave conflicting reports, which led to her arrest on murder charges.
In Pistorius' case, he said he thought an intruder had entered his Pretoria, South Africa home and locked himself in Pistorius' bathroom next to his bedroom. Steenkamp was spending the night and Pistorius testified he thought she was in bed next to him.
Steenkamp was in the bathroom, and Pistorius shot her four times through the bathroom door, killing her.
Crimesider added that Pistorius took the stand in her own defense, which is precisely the tact Kelly's lawyer told her client to take. Eventually, Kelly did not testify but was acquitted of manslaughter.
Pistorius is serving five years for a culpable homicide charge - the South African equivalent of manslaughter - and will be released to house arrest after serving just 10 months, in August.
Prosecutors will try to get a murder conviction at an appeals trial of his culpable homicide charge.
Pistorius' brother erased information from Oscar's phone and computer, which would've provided any link to the earlier charge.
