According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Sheamus vs. Randy Orton has been rumored for the WWE Battleground event emanating from the Scottrade Center on July 19 from Orton's hometown of St. Louis.
Orton missed this week's edition of WWE Monday Night RAW because he's on vacation in Bora Bora with his girlfriend and asked for time off, but he is expected to return on the July 6 edition of the flagship show after missing next week's episode.

With most of the matches for Battleground already being revealed and Sheamus and Orton not being booked for the card yet, it's likely that they will cross paths on July 19.
The Celtic Warrior won the WWE Championship contract briefcase last month at Money in the Bank and could use some matches with a seasoned veteran like Orton to build him up as a threat while The Viper will likely be put on the card in his hometown of St. Louis to generate more interest.
Though Orton skipped the Survivor Series last November in his hometown, he is slated to be a part of the Battleground event.
The WWE has announced five matches for Battleground, which is headlined by a WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout pitting Seth Rollins against challenger Brock Lesnar.
There are three other title clashes on the card as well as Ryback defends the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and The Big Show in a Triple Threat Match, John Cena puts the United States Championship on the line against Kevin Owens and The Prime Time Players' Tag Team Championships hang in the balance against The New Day.
Rounding out the lineup, Roman Reigns will battle Bray Wyatt in a singles contest.
With most of the big name Superstars already booked, minus Dean Ambrose, Sheamus and Orton, it appears likely a clash between the Irish Superstar and The Apex Predator will happen at Battleground.
