According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the contract was likely signed a few weeks back and is said to be a multi-year deal for Ziggler, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

After weeks of reports that Ziggler was inching toward leaving the WWE due to him being permanently placed in the midcard, he re-signed with Vince McMahon's company and chose to remain loyal to it.

Ziggler spoke to The Boston Herald about his decision to continue working for the WWE and he said he believes his career should come full circle in the No. 1 promotion in the world.

"I mean, it feels like I started here, I should end my career in the WWE," Ziggler told the publication. "I feel like they like having me around and I love working here, so it would be really hard to walk away."

Though he held the World Championship on a couple of occasions, Ziggler has been in the midcard for the past few years, much to the chagrin of his fan base, which feels he deserves better.

The Showoff is currently in a storyline feud with Rusev, though the Bulgarian Brute's foot injury has kept him from participating in a match. Ziggler is also romantically linked to the Super Athlete's former valet Lana in storyline and she has been by his side for his recent bouts.

Ziggler, 34, reached the pinnacle of his profession twice, having a one-day reign with the World Heavyweight Championship in 2011 and then holding it for 69 days following his successful Money in the Bank briefcase cash-in.

Ziggler won the gold on Monday Night RAW in April 2013, the night after WrestleMania XXIX, and he then dropped it to Alberto Del Rio at Payback 2013. It marked the last time he held a world title in the company thus far.

The WWE Superstar is also a four-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time Tag Team Champion and a one-time United States Champion.

Now that he's re-signed with the company, Ziggler is sure to add to those accolades.
