Punk, who is set to make his UFC debut some time in 2016, is seen training in the video and he sits down to talk about the performance institute as well.

"This is the place to be if you're an athlete," Punk says in the video. "And they have a set regimen they've been putting us through and it's all functional stuff for what we have to do when we step into the Octagon."

Punk signed-on with UFC last December and was expected to make his debut in late 2015, however he recently said he might have to push it back to next year. UFC president Dana White then confirmed that the former WWE Champion won't be making his debut until 2016.

"I think a lot of people can benefit from coming to a place like this," Punk said about the performance institute. "And it will extend their career."

The Best in the World walked out on the WWE in January 2014 a day after the company's famed Royal Rumble event and he never returned.

Punk later revealed on his friend Colt Cabana's podcast that he felt "creatively stifled" in the WWE and that he was always asked to work hurt.

He took particular aim at WWE doctor Chris Amann, saying he misdiagnosed him on several occasions, including a concussion he claimed to have suffered at the Royal Rumble event.

Dr. Amann later sued Punk and Cabana, leading to Punk's real-life wife AJ Lee retiring from the WWE amid the controversy this past March.

Punk also revealed on the podcast that he received his termination papers from the WWE last June, the same day he married Lee.

Vince McMahon later apologized for this on his appearance on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's podcast in December on the WWE Network and he also said he wished they could work together again one day.

Punk said in the past he would never have a working relationship with the WWE again and that he would "never" return to wrestling.

Now, he's gearing up for his UFC debut and the wrestling realm is in the rearview mirror.
