The final preparations ahead of the 2015 British Open will take place in Scotland this weekend. The 2015 Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open being held at the Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian holds a $3.51 million purse, with the winner earning a $846,000 share.

In addition to the European Tour regulars, Americans Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker have all descended onto Scotland in search of victory.

Phil Mickelson (via European Tour): "I always love this two-week stretch. I love coming to Scotland and playing the Scottish and the British [Opens]. It's a special year; we have [The Open] at St. Andrews. I'm very excited. I have my family with me again just like two years ago, and it's just a special two weeks. Being right here at Muirfield brings back a lot of memories, as well.

Rickie Fowler: "I love playing links golf. I played well here for the Scottish and the Open here last year, so hoping to grow off of that and it would be nice to get some good weather while we're here. I had a good time playing in the tournament last year."

Prediction

Rafa Cabrera-Bello is due for a European Tour victory. The 31-year-old has three top five finishes in his last five events, including a second-place finish at the Lyoness Open in June.
