Russell Wilson's relationship with new girlfriend Ciara had been a welcome off-field respite from his snagged contract negotiations with the Seattle Seahawks. Until now.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that rapper Future, Ciara's ex-boyfriend with whom she shares a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, is irritated at the new couple's inclusion of the 16-month-old child in their brewing romance.

Us Magazine reported on an interview the rap star conducted with Power 105.1 FM in New York in which he aired his grievance against his ex and her new boyfriend.
"Of course I wouldn't want someone pushing my son," the "Dirty Sprite 2" artist said when asked about the May photos of Wilson pushing Future Jr. in a stroller. "Like, that's the No. 1 rule. Like, if I was a kid and my mom had a dude pushing me, I would've jumped out of the stroller and slapped the s--t out of...you never do that in our community. You don't even bring a man around your son. You know this dude for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid? Who does that? Nobody does that."

The father insisted that his interest is solely in the well-being of his child and doesn't involve any jealousy over Ciara's love interest.
"I swear, man, I'm not thinking about her," Future said. "I mean, I want her to be totally happy. Like you gotta understand, you want a person to be happy [but] I'm not bitter," "People think I'm bitter because she moved on. But I'm good. I'm taking care of me. I don't need him - she needs him."
Despite the affection both Wilson and Ciara have proclaimed for each other, Future doesn't sound as if he's buying the depths of the feelings they say they share.
"At the end of the day, I'm not for the publicity stunts," he said on the interview, according to TMZ Sports. "Leave my son out of the publicity stunts. Just leave him out of your relationship."
Wilson still has not agreed to an extension with the Seattle Seahawks beyond next season.
