Barcelona Transfer News: Pedro Cost Manchester United £22 Million, Sergi Samper £8.5 Million Arsenal Bid and More

Not even a FIFA transfer ban was enough to keep Barcelona from conducting business this window, seeing the club acquire Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal. The team has no intention of acquiring more players, but potential departures are yet to be resolved.

Below are all the transfer rumors surrounding the Catalan giants.

Josep Bartomeu

No, a club president cannot be transferred, but Josep Bartomeu put an end to all speculation on his club's future.

"We have a complete and balanced squad and Luis Enrique is happy with the players he has," Bartomeu said (via the club's official website). "This year we have three more titles to compete for."

No more players will come into the Camp Nou this summer.

Pedro

You can, however, expect some to depart.

According to the Telegraph, Bartomeu has warned Manchester United that the club will not accept anything less than £22 million for Pedro. Per the report, Barcelona have not received any formal offers for the Spanish international.

"We have not received any offers for any player," Bartomeu said. "I refer back to what head coach Luis Enrique said: 'If someone wants to sign our players, then the release clause must be met.' So far no one has made an offer, so we are calm."

Sergi Samper

Sergi Samper doesn't carry the same pedigree as Pedro, but that won't stop Arsenal from making an offer.

According to the Daily Mail (via Mirror), Arsene Wenger is keen on meeting Samper's £8.5 million release clause. Per the report, FC Porto have also shown interest. The 20-year-old is said to be the heir to Sergio Busquets' throne in midfield.
