On Aug. 23, the WWE will present SummerSlam from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and it is shaping up to become one of the best cards in the history of the event.

Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker are set to engage in a WrestleMania XXX rematch while the WWE has also hinted at a winner-take-all match featuring WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. WWE United States Champion John Cena.

6) Cashing In, SummerSlam 2011

CM Punk and John Cena engaged in a war to determine the undisputed WWE Champion with Triple H as the special guest referee at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Aug. 14, 2011.

After Punk stood tall in his bout with the Cenation leader, Kevin Nash came from out of nowhere and delivered the Jack knife Powerbomb, leaving the champion lying prone in the ring. Ever the opportunist, Alberto Del Rio cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to pick up his first World Championship in the WWE.

5) The Viper Strikes With Authority, SummerSlam 2013

Just two years later, the world would witness another Money in the Bank cash in at the same exact venue as Randy Orton struck on Aug. 18, 2013.

Daniel Bryan defeated Cena to capture the WWE Championship, but after the match, special guest referee Triple H hit The Beard with the Pedigree. The Viper then came out and cashed in his contract to pin Bryan and win the title as The Authority was born.

4) Team WWE Stands Tall, SummerSlam 2010

The WWE had a great storyline going in 2010 when the Nexus rose to prominence and it all came to a head when SummerSlam returned to the Staples Center yet again for SummerSlam on Aug. 15, 2010.

The Nexus (Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Michael Tarver and Darren Young) went head-to-head with Team WWE (Cena, Bryan, Edge, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, R-Truth and John Morrison) in a seven-on-seven elimination tag team match.

It marked Hart's first WWE SummerSlam bout since 1997 and in the end, Cena was the last man standing, overcoming 2-on-1 odds and last eliminating captain Barrett with the STF.

3) The Beast is Back, SummerSlam 2012

Brock Lesnar returned to SummerSlam for the first time in a decade when he battled Triple H at the Staples Center on Aug. 19, 2012.

After The Game kicked out of the F-5 and The Beast got up from The Pedigree, Lesnar went to the old reliable Kimura Lock, causing Triple H to tap out due to the pain and ending a match that spanned over 18 minutes.

2) The Best in the World, SummerSlam 2009

CM Punk and Jeff Hardy were at odds heading into the first ever SummerSlam at the Staples Center and they settled their rivalry in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship on Aug. 23, 2009.

After the two combatants threw everything they had at each other and used myriad weapons, Hardy missed a Swanton Bomb off of the ladder through the announce table and went crashing through it. Punk then seized the opportunity and grabbed the title to become the new champion in Hardy's final SummerSlam match.

After the contest, The Undertaker reappeared and chokeslammed the new champion.

1) Suplex City, SummerSlam 2014

Last year's event, which was the last of six consecutive SummerSlams to emanate from the Staples Center, saw Lesnar and Cena battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Aug. 17, 2014.

Fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, The Beast decimated the Cenation leader, hitting 16 German suplexes on him in the match. After Cena began a bit of a comeback, he was stymied by Lesnar, who eventually hit his second F-5 to win the match.

With the result, Lesnar won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the fourth time in his career and held onto it until WrestleMania 31. It was one of the most lopsided matches in SummerSlam history, but it was an epic main event with a big-match feel.

The WWE is sure to make even more memorable moments when SummerSlam emanates live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 23.

BONUS RANKING

Here are the rankings of these six events as a whole:

6) 2010: Really a one-match card, but a solid main event.

5) 2011: Pretty average card, highlighted by Punk/Cena and Del Rio's cash-in.

4) 2012: Lesnar vs. Triple H highlights a rather mundane card.

3) 2013: Orton's cash-in and Triple H's turn was shocking, but undercut Daniel Bryan's big moment. Lesnar/Punk was a highlight.

2) 2014: Lesnar vs. Cena and Orton vs. Roman Reigns highlight a pretty fun card.

1) 2009: Hardy/Punk was classic and Orton vs. Cena was another good match.
