Phillies radio analyst Larry Andersen doesn't believe that Mets fans are 'Amazin.'
After the Mets fell into a 3-0 hole in the first inning Monday night in Philadelphia, returning captain David Wright got them on the board in his first appearance since April 14.

Wright crushed a home run on the third pitch he saw to the second deck in left field in his return from dealing with spinal stenosis. Michael Cuddyer then followed up with a double later that inning, making Citizens Bank Park sound more like Citi Field for the visitors.
Andersen was none too pleased. Heading into the top of the second inning, he gave a very blunt assessment of the New York fan base.

"I'll take the Nationals' fans over the Mets' fans," Andersen said, according to NJ Advance Media.
When play-by-play man Scott Franzke asked him why, Andersen didn't hesitate to elaborate.
"They're just obnoxious," Andersen replied.
Andersen was in for a long night as the Mets launched a single-game franchise-record eight homers and pounded the Phillies 16-7. It marked the ninth time in 10 meetings this season that New York bested its NL East rival.
Mets fans have made their presence felt on the road throughout the season, and the crowds have grown as the campaign has worn on. The trend is likely to continue now that New York's NL East lead has swelled to a season-high 5 1/2 games over Washington.
The Mets improved to 68-56 in the win while the Phillies fell to 50-75. The Nationals own a 62-61 mark entering their three-game series with the Padres (61-63). New York is hoping for its first playoff appearance and NL East division crown since 2006 while it is also looking to clinch its first winning season since 2008.
The Phillies and Mets have three more games at Citizen's Bank Park from Tuesday-Thursday, so Andersen is in for a rough couple of days if New York continues to thrive.
Hopefully for his sake, the 7 Line Army isn't planning an outing to the City of Brotherly Love.
