Best iPhone Sports Apps: Don't Forget To Download These When Your iPhone 6S Is Ready

Apple is set to unveil their new and improved iPhones today, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. New phones don’t necessarily have to mean new apps, but if you rush out to pick up a brand new phone when it comes out -- and you love sports -- then don’t forget to download these five trusty sports apps.

WWE Network

Yeah, yeah wrestling’s fake. It’s also AWESOME! The WWE Network is not free -- but for all the content this app gives you, it pays for itself in no time. With the WWE Network app you get access to every WWE, WCW, and ECW pay-per-view that’s ever existed, an expanding collection of Raw and Smackdown episodes, and access to original programming like Tough Enough, Total Divas, Swerved, and Legends House. Don’t forget WWE Countdown, and awesome documentaries.

MLB At-Bat

Those new iPhones are going to have improved screens, the better with which to watch baseball. MLB At-Bat is a subscription-based app, but it gives real time updates, can sync up with your fantasy baseball leagues across different websites, and offers every out-of-town MLB game in HD, with the option of home or away broadcasts.

The only complaint is that hometown teams are subject to video blackouts, so you’ll only get the radio broadcasts for those games. But this app packs so much content that it’s worth the price.

ESPN ScoreCenter

This app is all about convenience. They have every sport that matters, and they allow you to pick your favorite teams/players in each category so you consistently get those updates, scores and notifications first. They also constantly update with the latest news, and most recent trends on social media if you are so inclined.

FanDuel

FanDuel is a daily fantasy sports app that allows players the pleasure of fantasy sports without the long-term commitment of setting daily rosters, or slogging through a season with injured or underperforming players. FanDuel is spectacular for football especially; just imagine you drafted Packers WR Jordy Nelson before his torn ACL. That sucks. With FanDuel, you can just snap up his replacement Davante Adams for a good price.

Draft Kings

Draft Kings is closely related to FanDuel, with just a few differences. Their player pricing is different, and their football portion takes a more modern approach than FanDuel. In Draft Kings, players don’t have to waste time with a kicker; Draft Kings removed the kicker entirely, and replaced it with a FLEX option, which can be either a RB, WR or TE. It’s better that way.
