If you didn't believe that Deflategate was a national concern, think again as even Miss America weighed in on the controversy.
Betty Cantrell, the former Miss Georgia and current Miss America, gave an honest assessment of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and whether or not she thought he cheated when she was asked by a judge during the Miss America pageant Sunday night.

"Did he cheat? That's a really good question, I'm not sure," Cantrell said via USA Today. "I think I'd have to be there to see the ball and to feel it to make sure if it was deflated or not deflated, but if there was any question there then yes, I think he cheated. If there was any question to be had I think that he definitely cheated and he should have been suspended for that. That's not fair."
The controversy, which seemingly never goes away, stems all the way back to the AFC Championship Game in January that saw Brady and the Patriots knock off the Colts 45-7 en route to defeating the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. Soon after the game, word came out that Brady and members of New England's equipment crew tampered with footballs and underinflated them during the game.

As a result of breaking the rules, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Brady for four games heading into this season and then upheld the ban after the quarterback appealed it to him.
Brady then took the NFL to federal court where the ruling was overturned and he was eligible to play against the Steelers last Thursday in the Patriots' season-opener. The NFL announced its plans to appeal the decision of the court.
On the field, Brady went 25-for-32 and threw for 288 yards with four touchdowns (three to tight end Rob Gronkowski) and no interceptions against Pittsburgh as New England won 28-21.
The Deflategate scandal and the previous Spygate misconduct led to a lot of people losing trust in Brady and a black mark against his legacy as a four-time Super Bowl champion.
Even Miss America doesn't trust Brady's balls.
