Sepp Blatter Investigation: Michel Platini Sold Out Blatter, Proves He’s No Better To Lead FIFA [VIDEO]

The Swiss police have opened criminal proceedings against FIFA president Sepp Blatter, per Sky News. The snake's head will finally be cut off.

"Mr. Blatter is suspected of criminal mismanagement or misappropriation," the Swiss Attorney General said.

2022 World Cup Dates Confirmed

The most corrupt man in football was interviewed by police on Friday. His office was searched and his data was seized. Blatter is suspected of making a "disloyal payment" of two million Swiss francs to UEFA president Michel Platini for work performed between Jan. 1999 and June 2022.

Platini gave evidence as a witness, and therein lies the problem. He's no better than what we've been subjected to for 17 years.

Blatter's criminal proceedings will do nothing to alleviate FIFA's stain on the sport. Platini -- the man favored to replace Blatter as president -- illegally accepted two million Swiss francs 13 years ago and used it as a pawn against his counterpart.

This is the behavior you expect from a man who will be voted to oversee football's governing body?

It was bad enough Platini voted for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, only to see his son coincidentally land a job in Qatar immediately after the vote. It was bad enough he told American officials he would vote for the United States' bid, only to see him turn on his word.

Friday's development only created more doubt.

Criminal proceedings or not, FIFA will simply trade the devil they know for the one they don't.
