The best way to cash on weekly fantasy football sites is to load up on as many stars with good matchups as possible. Due to budget restraints, however, fantasy players must sacrifice other positions to nab the stars they want.

Quarterbacks
1. Tyrod Taylor, Bills ($5,800): His value is going up, but he’s still undervalued compared to some of the names above him. Taylor is a running quarterback for sure, but he’s shown he can sling the ball, especially deep. The Giants showed up on Thursday vs. the Redskins, but overall their defense is weak, and their pass D is currently in the bottom-5.
2. Colin Kaepernick, 49ers ($5,500): Kaep’s coming off one of the worst games of his career, so his price has dropped significantly. The Packers are the worst run defense in the NFL right now though, per FootballOutsiders.com, and if there’s one thing Kaepernick will always be able to do it’s run. We have seen him knife through the Packers before, and if San Fran is to have a shot at winning this week, he must do it again.

3. Derek Carr, Raiders ($5,300): It’s tough to fathom how Carr costs less than Kaepernick. He’s posted back-to-back 300-plus yard games with two or more touchdown passes in both tilts. The Bears have the worst pass defense in football.
Running Backs
1. Lance Dunbar, Cowboys ($3,600): Dunbar is a regular at the Draft Kings Bargain Bar. His stool might as well have his name on it. In a PPR format, how can you beat a running back averaging eight targets and 71 yards per game? At this price, the answer is you can’t.
2. C.J. Spiller, Saints ($3,900): Ditto for Spiller, who only costs $300 more despite being a first-round fantasy pick just two seasons ago. Spiller was brought to New Orleans to catch passes; he hasn’t done it yet, but Drew Brees should be back next week, and Sean Payton is adamant about getting Spiller more work.
3. Shane Vereen, Giants ($4,300): Keeping with the pass-catching backs theme, Vereen could factor heavily into the Giants’ game plan vs. Rex Ryan’s blitzes. The Bills are tough on running backs, but they’ve been middling against them in the passing game. Vereen excels at yards after the catch, and making plays in open space after catching various wheel routes, or passes in the flats. The Giants will rely on those to keep the chains moving, and to get the ball out of Eli Manning’s hands quickly.
Wide Receivers
1. Allen Robinson, Jaguars ($5,500): Robinson is the No. 1 target in the Jaguars’ passing game, and they’ll probably have to pass a ton in a road game vs. Andrew Luck and the Colts. Robinson’s upside is tremendous – we saw that with his 155-yard, two-touchdown outburst vs. Miami – and he could flash it again.
2. Terrance Williams, Cowboys ($4,500): No one has an explanation for Williams’ zero-catch performance, or why Brandon Weeden targeted him only two times on Sunday. It is highly unlikely to happen again though against the Saints’ 31st-ranked pass D.
3. Nelson Agholor, Eagles ($4,500): This is the week the rookie makes his mark. Washington’s defense has been good this year, but their vulnerability has been against No. 2 receivers. That’s Agholor, and the ‘Skins will be focused on limiting Jordan Matthews, as well as the run.
Tight Ends
1. Eric Ebron, Lions ($3,500): Ebron has a permanent seat next to Lance Dunbar on this list. The Lions are up against Seattle this week, but one of the NFL’s dirty little secrets has been that the Seahawks defense isn’t scary lately. They’re ranked 28th in the NFL against the pass, and next-to-last vs. tight ends.
2. Kyle Rudolph, Vikings ($3,200): Denver’s defense has been phenomenal through three games, with the only slight chink in the armor being some trouble with tight ends. Rudolph is a big target for Teddy Bridgewater, and will probably find the end zone.
3. Charles Clay, Bills ($3,300): Clay’s heated up the last two weeks, and he has a nice matchup vs. the Giants and their subpar linebackers.
