Cleveland Browns Johnny Manziel Rumors: Josh McCown Giving Team No Reason To Switch Starting QBs [VIDEO]

Josh McCown doesn't seem as though he'll be giving his starting job up to Johnny Manziel anytime soon.

Sunday afternoon was just the latest sign that Johnny Football is gonna have to wait. McCown helped lead the Browns (2-3) to a Week 5 overtime victory over the Ravens (1-4) at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md., eclipsing 300 yards for the third straight week in the process.

With the game tied at 30, McCown orchestrated a productive drive, yielding way for Travis Coons to kick a 32-yard field goal and give the team a 33-30 victory on the road. In all, the quarterback was 36 of 51 for 457 yards with two touchdowns and found nine different targets in the game.

Simply put, he's too valuable for the Browns to make a switch right now, despite Johnny Manziel being the most overhyped backup quarterback since Tim Tebow. McCown had a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the game and threw for scores to Gary Barnidge (18 yards) and Isaiah Crowell (22) in the victory, seemingly stamping his name as the starter for the foreseeable future.

Manziel looked on from the sidelines and like everyone else, likely realized that the starting job he covets isn't coming to him anytime soon.
