So much for kayfabe. On-screen enemies Rusev and Lana recently got engaged in real life, posing for pictures to ruin the allure of the WWE storylines.
Most fans realized that the WWE Superstar and his former valet were dating outside of the company's storylines, but it was a lot easier for them to go public with it when they were together on-screen. The WWE opted to split them up, which was questionable, and now they're at odds in the organization's angles.

Despite Lana being in a storyline relationship with Dolph Ziggler and the "Bulgarian Brute" being in a love arc with Summer Rae, Rusev and the blonde bombshell shared their engagement and took photos, which were picked up by TMZ and also appear on Instagram.
The engagement took place last month at the home the couple shares in Nashville, and the "Super Athlete" proposed in the couple's swimming pool while recording the whole thing, TMZ reports.

Destroying kayfabe even further, the WWE has recently opened up a storyline where Summer Rae proposed to Rusev, and he agreed to "marry" her once he wins some WWE gold. There have been rumors circulating that Rusev and Lana may be put back together in storylines soon, which would be a lot easier since the entire world now realizes they're engaged.

The "Ravishing Russian" has been sidelined with a wrist injury that she sustained while wrestling a match at a WWE live event. There are plans to make Lana the next top Diva in the WWE.
Despite the fact that it may have ruined one of the WWE's key storylines, it's hard to blame Rusev for popping the question to the smokin' Lana, making him one of the luckiest guys in the world.
