The Colts fell at home to the Saints 27-21 on Sunday, but the game was not nearly as close as the score would indicate. They were down 27-0 before a furious rally, and the loss has ratcheted up tensions in the front office that were already high.
Following the Colts’ Week 2 loss at home to the Jets, coach Chuck Pagano hinted at strife with management. He took a potshot at GM Ryan Grigson’s roster construction when asked about QB Andrew Luck facing so much pressure.

“He has been dealing with that for three years now,” Pagano said of the shaky offensive line play that has routinely crumbled in the face of blitzes. Grigson has been the Colts’ GM since 2012. After Sunday’s loss, there was reportedly a heated argument between Grigson and Colts owner Jim Irsay, furthering speculation that the turmoil up top is trickling onto the gridiron.
Veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson said that among players, there is no blame being cast around. "As far as frustration towards each other or finger-pointing, there's nothing like that," Johnson said. "We have guys who say we can't dig holes like this. We know we're a good football team. We're just not playing like it."

Left tackle Anthony Castonzo, the leader of Indianapolis’ beleaguered unit, also accepted responsibility for the Colts’ poor start.
"I've been (expletive) terrible this season. I'm just going to call it like it is. I have to play better, straight up. Forget what my contract is. As the starting left tackle on this team, my teammates rely on me. I don't care if I was making $5 a game; it doesn't matter, they expect me to get the job done and I'm not doing that."
If he doesn’t both Pagano and Grigson might be out the door by season’s end. On the plus side, for all their woes, the Colts are sitting atop the AFC South standings at 3-4, and all their division rivals have a host of issues on their own.
