Lamar Odom fears his alleged drug addiction has robbed him of his career and he's already played his last NBA game, according to Hollywoodlife.com
The website reports Odom has "accepted his circumstances and is no longer trying to change." Another casualty of his all recent bad behavior could be his marriage to reality TV starlet Khloe Kardashian.
HollywoodLife reports the two remain separated and living separate lives in the wake of all the rumors about Odom's "hardcore" drug addiction and multiple news reports he has engaged in recent affairs with at least five different women. Three of them, Washington D.C. stripper Jennifer Richardson, California attorney Polina Polonsky and grad student Sandy Schultz have admitted to the alleged infidelities.
"Lamar already knows he's done," a source told the website. "There's no going back. We told him this weeks ago. He sounded like he didn't care, all he said was, "Yeah, whatever."'
Now a free agent, Odom played last season with the Los Angeles Clippers. Early on this summer, the team expressed some interest in resigning him, but has since moved on and signed veteran forward Antawn Jamison.
Just last week, it was reported prosecutors in California have formally charged Odom with DUI stemming from his arrest late last month by Highway Patrol for driving too slowly on the 101 Freeway. At the time of the incident, Odom refused to submit to any blood alcohol tests, meaning his driver's license will automatically be suspended for a year.
"He's been fortunate to play in the NBA," the source told HollyLife. "Do you know how many guys dream of that? It's a gift... and it's like he's blowing."
