WWE 'WrestleMania 32' Rumors: John Cena Heel Turn Is Key For Potential Undertaker Feud [VIDEO]

If John Cena ends up going toe-to-toe with The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all, it's time for the WWE to turn him heel.

For years, fans have cited Cena's stale character as a need for change and if the "Cenation" leader takes on "The Deadman" at WrestleMania 32, a character alteration could be warranted. As of now, the plans are for the two wrestling legends to face-off at the "Show of Shows," according to PWInsider.

25 Years Of 'Taker: The Undertaker's Greatest Rivals

The WWE could play it straight up as they did when 'Taker battled Shawn Michaels, by having two great babyfaces go head-to-head, but it would be even more notable if the company finally pulled the trigger on a Cena heel turn. With this being the current plans, it seems that the potential dream match of The Undertaker vs. Sting will once again be passed over.

There were rumors for years that the "Demon from Death Valley" and "The Vigilante" would collide at the WWE's biggest annual show, but it hasn't happened. Last year, The Undertaker waged war with Bray Wyatt, while Sting made his debut by going up against Triple H.

WWE Monday Night RAW Spoilers & Rumors

With both men being Texas natives and next year's show emanating from AT&T Stadium, it would have made sense for the contest to finally be put on.

With WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffering a major injury, the WWE has reworked a lot of its plans for WrestleMania, but it is believed that 'Taker vs. Cena will still be one of the featured main events.

Cena has been a great babyface in the WWE for over a decade and he sells the most merchandise in the company while granting a record number of Make-A-Wish appearances, so it would be a bold decision by the WWE to turn him into a villain. Though it's certainly worth considering what he means to the company, Cena's act is wearing thin and he could use a change of pace.

If Cena turns heel, the company could even have him side with his real life girlfriend Nikki Bella and potentially feud with a babyface Dolph Ziggler down the line after what went down on "Total Divas." Though 'Taker's streak is no longer active at WrestleMania, the 15-time World Champion could vow to take him out of the WWE at the show.

The Undertaker is an astounding 22-1 at the greatest spectacle in sports entertainment, while Cena is an impressive 9-3 with a three-match winning streak at the event.

For the WWE to book this match, Cena should turn heel for the first time since 2003.
