Clemson vs. Syracuse: Tigers Struggle, But Win 37-27 [VIDEO]

If anyone thought that No. 1 Clemson's visit to Syracuse would be a cakewalk, they'd be sadly mistaken. The Tigers got all they could handle out of the Orangemen, eventually wearing them down, 37-27.

Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns. His play of late is moving him up in the Heisman watch behind Leonard Fournate of LSU and Derrick Henry of Alabama.

Watson actually accounted for almost 500 yards of offense for the Tigers which is the main reason they were able to hold on in the second half.

The Tigers started out the gate early with a 14-0 lead before the Orangemen made a comeback with two touchdowns of their own, tying up the score before the end of the first quarter.

Each team traded scores before Clemson took the lead again for good and would hold on for the victory.

The Orangeman's play did not go unnoticed by Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney who made these comments via The State newspaper. "First of all, man congratulate Sycracuse they played their tails off. That's just the nature of our team. We are going to get everybody's A++++ game."

Heavy is the head that wears the crown the saying goes, and so far, the Tigers have handled each challenge that has come their way.

Next week they face Wake Forest before closing out the regular season with an improving South Carolina team before heading to the ACC Championship Game, which will most likely be against the surging Tarheels.
