Derek Jeter, Hannah Davis Relationship Rumors: Super Model Hasn't Gotten One Of Jeter's Famous Gift Baskets Because She Hasn't Left ... Yet [VIDEO]

One Yankee legend went to bat against an old urban legend.

Now that he's engaged to beautiful super model Hannah Davis, former Yankees captain and shortstop Derek Jeter felt the need to put one of the most famed stories about him away for good. Jeter claims that the urban legend of him giving girls gift baskets after sleeping with them isn't true.

The gift-giving was first reported in 2011 by the New York Post and hung around the five-time World Series champion ever since.

The original report claimed that Jeter gave out baskets full of memorabilia, including baseballs signed by the Yankee captain himself, after spending the night with beautiful women. Jeter collected may base knocks on the field, but they paled in comparison to the type of hits he received off it.

Jeter dated a who's who of various beautiful women through the years and has been linked to such babes as Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Mariah Carey among others. But according to the captain, these bombshells and every other girl he has courted weren't given baskets after the passion.

The Yankees all-time hits leader appeared on Joe Buck's show "Undeniable with Joe Buck" and revealed the story was false, according to CBS Sports. That means if anything ever happens between Jeter and his fiancée Davis, she won't be receiving a consolation prize as a result.

So far, everything seems dandy with the pair as they prepare for their nuptials. They seem made for each other as the happy couple are both good looking, but also very boring. Even Davis admitted she didn't want anyone attending their wedding.

For now, Jeter and Davis count the days until their wedded bliss, but if anything ever falls through, it looks as though the model will be leaving empty handed.
