UFC News: Dana White Considers Jon Jones The Best MMA Fighter Ever [VIDEO]

Jon Jones and UFC president Dana White have had quite a history, mostly controversial.

Jones has been plagued by incidents outside of the Octagon, causing his share of headaches for White. That includes a cancelled event that involved Dan Henderson and then another where Bones had refused to face Chael Sonnen.

Now pair all that up with his April hit-and-run case, one has to wonder the level of patience that White has.

But being the professional that he is, White says that he understands the stuff going on around Jones and praises the former UFC light heavyweight champion for handling them.

"People are going make mistakes. It's going to happen," White said about Jones via ESPN's First Take. "We deal with them, we roll with the punches. I think it matters more how we deal with these situations when they happen than when the thing is actually happening."

And despite all these distractions, Jones knows how to get up. Apparently White has been keeping tabs on the fighter via Instagram and saw that Bones is indeed getting himself in shape and has grown huge.

"You won't believe him when you see him," White told Fox Sports. "He has completely transformed. This guy is jacked. He's been lifting -- like power lifting. He's huge right now,"

Of course, Jones could be showing his stuff soon. Word has it that Jones and reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier could be facing off at UFC 198 on April 23, 2016, in New York, though the venue is still up for confirmation as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Right now, Madison Square Garden is temporarily the place where the event will be held. The event is currently the subject of a legal battle between the UFC and the State of New York so the final venue will likely be known after that is sorted out.
