Kate Upton is just as competitive as her pitcher boyfriend and got injured because of it.
The smokin' hot model suffered a sprained ankle earlier this week, and she revealed it occurred, out of all things, when she took on her parents in a spirited game of cornhole.

"I was playing cornhole against my parents," Upton explained to TMZ at LAX, "and I was celebrating a little too hard I guess. I got ice right away on it and it's still in pain."
Looks like much like her boyfriend, Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, Upton has a huge competitive spirit. That competiveness even bursts out during a game that is usually played casually.

Upton did say the ailment was "better," but she had to wear flats to protect it. Verlander is likely breathing a sigh of relief that nothing too serious happened to her. After all, the model has plenty of amazing assets to protect.
The swimsuit model posted a picture on her Instagram page three days ago of her bruised foot, asking her fans if anyone else had ever sprained their ankle while celebrating a victory in cornhole over their parents.

It's uncertain if Verlander was there, but the two have been an item since 2011 and briefly split up earlier this year before getting back together. The couple recently spent a nice vacation with each other in Las Vegas and appeared to be blissful, judging by the photos they shared.
Verlander should fear not though, the model still looks amazing despite the bruised foot.
