Bill Goldberg WWE Return Rumors: Former Champ Looking To Become Next George Foreman In Combat Sports [VIDEO]

Fans hoping Bill Goldberg will return to the WWE shouldn't hold their breath.

The former WCW and WWE Heavyweight Champion has made no secret out of how he felt about his time in Vince McMahon's company. Goldberg didn't enjoy his tenure in the WWE from 2003-04 and though he tried to negotiate a comeback two years ago, he revealed he was very unhappy with his talks with Triple H.

Vince McMahon Should Do Anything To Bring CM Punk Back

Goldberg has said in the past he was hoping to wrestle again so that his son could see him perform, but it likely won't be in the WWE. As it turns out, if he had the choice, Goldberg would opt to compete in sports like mixed martial arts or kickboxing.

"Combat sports, for sure," Goldberg told The Sporting News. "Like I said, it's all dependent upon me and I kind of got lost in the shuffle with these movies. I shot another movie, 'Enter the Fist' after 'Check Point,' and then we are really working on this TV show now. The good thing about it is it doesn't have a time limit on it. Whether it happens next week or next year, it's really not limited by time because I'm not going to say I've stopped Father Time, but I'm in tremendous shape comparatively."

Daniel Bryan's WWE Career May Be Over

At age 48, it appears Goldberg has designs to become the next George Foreman. The legendary boxer made a comeback in 1994 and became the oldest person to ever win the boxing heavyweight championship when he knocked out then-27-year-old Michael Moorer at age 45.

Goldberg has three years on Foreman, but still feels as though he has a lot left in him in the realm of combat sports. The former wrestler seems to be done with the WWE, where he hasn't wrestled a match since his highly-panned bout with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX in 2004.

The man who once went 173-0 in WCW may never lace up the boots again for a bout in the squared circle.
