Cleveland Browns, Johnny Manziel Rumors: Smashing Tablet Into His Head Actually A Sign Of Maturity [VIDEO]

Johnny Manziel whacked himself in the head five times with a Microsoft tablet on Sunday, and in Johnny Football’s bizarro world that qualifies as a good thing. It means he cares about how he does on the field.

The Browns throttled the 49ers 24-10 with Manziel at the controls, and he had a nice game, completing 67 percent of his passes and throwing for 270 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a very bad interception, that apparently was worse for Manziel when he saw it on the tablet.

The Browns Are Not Handling Johnny Manziel's Drinking Problem Correctly

"I was more upset getting to the sideline, obviously about the pick, throwing it back across my body," Manziel said (via ESPN). "I know better than that. Then I looked at the Surface." Upon further review, Manziel not only turned the ball over, he missed his tight end Gary Barnidge running free for a possible touchdown.

"To get a touchdown there before the half on a busted coverage, you have to make them pay on things like that. That doesn't happen all the time in the NFL. I was more upset knowing that we are going to be watching that on film [Monday]."

Browns Punish Manziel More By Playing Him Than Benching Him

The Browns would like for him to avoid hitting himself in the head, but the sentiments he expressed had to make them smile. Manziel, who was benched for partying during the team’s bye week despite having spent the offseason in rehab, showed real concern for his play on the field. His outburst indicated that he may be feeling the urgency to make good on his opportunity to start for the rest of the season and prove to the Browns that he can be their quarterback of the future.

Many question whether Manziel cares more about partying than football. His actions on Sunday proved he cares a whole lot about football.
