Former NBA star Lamar Odom, who nearly died in October from an overdose in a Las Vegas brothel, survived a coma and multiple organs failing. He’s now awake and alert, but dealing with serious repercussions.
A source told E! about Odom’s current condition, and it’s bleak. “His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names — sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”

His wife, Khloe Kardashian, said that his road to being healthy will be a “long one.” And it will be an expensive one too. A source said that Odom’s treatment will have cost him $10 million by the end of 2015, according to Radar Online.
“By the end of the year, he’ll have easily made at least a $10m dent in his $55 million fortune. There’s no end in sight and he’s completely unaware of what’s going on.”

This could mean that Khloe, his wife, may see her own wealth drained by Odom’s situation. Kardashian has a net worth of $25 million, and gets paid $40,000 per episode to star on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” She put her divorce from Odom on hold while he sorts out his health, but those close to Odom are worried he will be left with the bag once he begins to fully recover. Khloe has been the one making the decisions on his treatment, which Radar’s source said is keeping him alive.
“The fact they’re still only married in name has everyone on Lamar’s side freaking out because they know he’s going to be left with all these bills when she finally kicks him out,” the source said.
