The Spurs haven’t had much trouble integrating a new star, LaMarcus Aldridge, into their well-oiled offense. They average 102.4 points, good for 10th in the NBA. Their real bread-and-butter, however, has been defense. The Spurs allow just 88.8 points per game, but they’ll be put to the test against James Harden and the NBA’s fourth-best offense.

Houston’s problems have stemmed from chemistry issues – free agent acquisition Ty Lawson has failed miserably alongside Harden – and defensive meltdowns. The Rockets allow 105.6 points, and are currently the third-worst defense in the league despite Dwight Howard patrolling the paint.
The matchup to watch will be Harden, one of the finest one-on-one offensive players in the game, against breakout superstar Kawhi Leonard, arguably the top defensive perimeter player in basketball. Leonard has also become a handful on the other end, averaging 21 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the 3-point line.
