Nikki Bella WWE Rumors: Diva's Injury Is Good For 'Total Divas' [POLL, VIDEO]

Nikki Bella's current neck injury has kept her out of WWE storylines, but it will play a major factor in an angle on the next season of "Total Divas."

The 2015 Diva of the Year has been sidelined for months with a neck injury and she noted on Twitter that she won't know when she can return to the ring until late January. Bella is waiting to see if she needs surgery for bulging discs in her neck.

Key Storylines To Watch For On RAW This Week

There has been some speculation internally in the WWE that Bella's Rack Attack finishing move could be the cause of her health problems, according to F4WOnline.

This is another situation where reality and storylines are muddled as Wrestling Observer Radio revealed that the injury is legitimate, but the Rack Attack aspect of the story may just be used for "Total Divas," according to WrestlingInc.

Though the details remain sketchy, there is a belief that the Rack Attack aspect of the story may be used for the reality show and may not actually be the reason for her neck ailment.

Though Bella is sidelined, her real-life boyfriend John Cena returned to action in the WWE over the weekend after taking nearly two months off to film the reality series "American Grit." The 15-time World Heavyweight Champion will make his return to WWE television this week on Monday Night RAW.

"Total Divas" has always looked to add drama in any way possible and Bella and her sister Brie are definitely going to get into it this season. The WWE now has an added layer to expose with Bella's injury and it's likely the reality show will delve deeper into it.

Bella, who set a record earlier this year by holding the Divas Championship for 301 days, may not return anytime soon, but there will be plenty for her fans to navigate through when "Total Divas" returns in January.

Should Nikki Bella win the Divas Championship back when she returns?
