Draft Kings Strategy 2015 Week 17: Best Bargains At Each Position In Daily Fantasy Football [VIDEO]

The best way to cash on weekly fantasy football sites is to load up on as many stars with good matchups as possible. Due to budget restraints, however, fantasy players must sacrifice other positions to nab the stars they want.

Week 17 offers the added challenge of navigating additional challenges, such as figuring out if playoff-qualified teams will sit their studs, or if teams out of it don't want to risk major injuries.

Here, you'll find the top bargains at each position on Draft Kings that will let you splurge elsewhere.

Packers Aren't A Top Five Team Even If They Win The Division

Quarterbacks

1. Eli Manning, Giants ($5,600): The Eagles defense has been turned into mincemeat several times this season, and for all the Giants’ struggles, their passing game has not been a problem. Odell Beckham will be back for Week 17, and the G-Men could very well be playing to keep Tom Coughlin’s job.

2. Derek Carr, Raiders ($5,300): Chaos reigns supreme in the NFL, and nothing would upset the apple cart like the Raiders upsetting the Chiefs. Think of it like this. Few expected the Ravens to knock off the Steelers, but there they were, playing over their head in a rivalry game. Carr is highly productive for a player at this price tag, and the Chiefs surprisingly rank 29th vs. No. 1 wide receivers.

Ranking The Contenders For The No. 1 Pick

3. Brock Osweiler, Broncos ($5,100): Osweiler has flirted with 300 yards in each of the last two weeks, so while his touchdowns may be limited, he can be counted on for a nice baseline of stats vs. the Chargers’ 26th-ranked pass defense. They’ve given up, while Denver has plenty to play for.

Running Backs

1. Tim Hightower, Saints ($5,500): The last week of the season is tricky because teams that are eliminated from the playoffs may not play hard, and key contributors may sit out. That won’t be Hightower, who is running hard after several years out of the league. Expect him to keep his foot on the gas vs. a suspect Falcons defense.

2. James White, Patriots ($5,000): The Dolphins are in complete disarray, while the Patriots are playing for home field throughout the AFC postseason slate. The Dolphins are particularly bad at defending RBs in the passing game (27th) so expect White to rack up a lot of yards and outperform this price tag by a mile.

3. Bilal Powell, Jets ($4,500): For the third straight week Powell was the Jets most effective back. The Bills, despite employing Rex Ryan as their coach, have been terrible vs. the run this year. Powell will not get as many touches as Ivory, but plan on him making the most of what he gets.

Wide Receivers

1. Michael Crabtree, Raiders ($5,900): Crabtree is the guy you want to stack with Carr if you go that route. Even though Amari Cooper is the real No. 1, he’s banged up. After his in-and-out act last week you won’t want to trust him.

2. John Brown, Cardinals ($5,100): Brown has scored in three of his last four games, and the Seahawks are middle of the pack vs. slot receivers. Richard Sherman figures to lock onto Larry Fitzgerald, so you’ll have to look at Michael Floyd and Brown if you want a piece of the Arizona passing game. Brown’s cheaper, and on fire.

3. Markus Wheaton, Steelers ($4,000): All the Steelers receivers are a go this week against Cleveland’s pathetic defense. Wheaton’s the cheapest of the bunch. The Steelers will be going all out since their postseason hopes are still alive.

Tight Ends

1. Owen Daniels, Broncos ($2,500): The Chargers are terrible vs. tight ends, and Daniels is the guy after the coaching staff tired of Vernon Davis dropping everything. Sneaky stack with Osweiler.

2. Richard Rodgers, Packers ($3,800): Rodgers is boom or bust, but the Vikings struggle to defend tight ends (26th), and Rodgers scored the last time these two squads faced off. Also it’s always nice to have some action in the primetime game.

3. Zach Ertz, Eagles ($3,600): The Giants’ pass D has been horrible the past few weeks, and TE is a great weapon against them because they have questionable linebackers and safeties. Ertz runs hot-and-cold, but he’s athletic enough to wreak havoc.
