The women behind our favorite athletes are often the most interesting thing about heroes of the sporting world. Here are five of 2015’s hottest and most buzzworthy WAGS (wives and girlfriends).
5. A.J. Lee
Lee was one of the greatest WWE women’s champions of all-time, but she retired --some would say prematurely – likely to be in solidarity with her husband, ex-WWE champion and upstart UFC fighter Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.
Lee isn’t your typical bombshell. She is slim, sleek, and a hell of a wrestler. The WWE has pushed a “Divas Revolution” in 2015, but for all it’s success, Lee’s absence has been felt.
4. Kristin Cavallari
Cavallari is a reality television star, a fashion designer specializing in NFL gear, and the wife of Bears QB Jay Cutler. Aside from being a knockout, Cavallari has been buzzing lately for very sad reasons.
Her brother went missing for more than a week earlier this month, and was later found dead in Utah, likely from “prolonged exposure to the elements.” Cavallari’s car was found wrecked three miles away from where he died.
The reason she’s been so buzzworthy is tragic, but she’s much more than just Cutler’s wife.

3. Jessie James Decker
Jessie James Decker is one of the most successful country music singers around, and one of the most attractive wives to any player in the NFL. While her husband Eric Decker, a wide receiver for the Jets, is having one of the best years of his career, she has managed to look like this after having her second child in as many years.

2. Paulina Gretzky
Paulina is the daughter of Wayne Gretzky, the greatest hockey player ever, but she’s long been out of The Great One’s shadow. Paulina is the fiancée of PGA pro Dustin Johnson, and one of the most popular people on Instagram. Can you blame her followers for being obsessed?

Davis is a red-hot swimsuit model who gained acclaim as the DirecTV genie. But really her most amazing feat is nailing down baseball’s most eligible bachelor, Derek Jeter. The former Yankees captain is known around the world for dominating the dating game, and getting with just about every celeb you’ve ever dreamed about.
Not anymore though. Jeter is engaged to Davis now, and ready to settle down. That makes her the hands-down most buzzworthy WAG of 2015, and possibly ever.
