Notre Dame Football Rumors: 5 Facts You Need To Know About The Fighting Irish 2016 NFL Draft Class [VIDEO]

NFL scouts will be on hand when No. 8 Notre Dame meets No. 7 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on Friday. Though all eyes will be on Ronnie Stanley -- who is No. 3 on SI.com’s draft board -- the Fighting Irish will have a myriad of talent on display.

Below are the top five NFL prospects to monitor in Glendale, Arizona.

Ronnie Stanley, T

Stanley decided to forgo the 2015 NFL Draft and replace Zack Martin at LT this season, a move that benefited him well.

What you may not know about the Senior, however, is that he wasn’t allowed to be a captain in 2015 for “parking reasons,” per ND Insider.

C.J. Prosise, RB

C.J. Prosise -- who at one point was considered a darkhorse for the Heisman Trophy -- finished the regular season with 1,032 yards and 11 TDs on 156 rushing attempts.

A true athlete, Prosise won the long jump and 55-meter dash at Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association indoor state track and field championship in 2012.

Jaylon Smith, LB

Notre Dame were fortunate enough to benefit from Jaylon Smith’s 114 total tackles in 2015. They’re also fortunate he’s playing for the right team on Friday.

The Junior LB was a two-way high school star in Indiana who considered signing with the Buckeyes, per ESPN.

Will Fuller, WR

Unlike Stanley and Smith, Fuller won’t be considered a first-round pick in 2016. While he expects to return for his senior year, his college football future is still in question.

There’s no questioning his love for Young Thug, though.

Sheldon Day, DL

Sheldon Day can operate as the tackle in a 3-4 or as a three technique over the B-gap in 4-3. He also loves him some IHop.
