Nikki Bella has been sidelined since October with an injury that was originally believed to be to her neck, but she later revealed her back was the problem.

John Cena, meanwhile, announced Wednesday night on Twitter that he was undergoing shoulder surgery. The "Cenation" leader has a torn rotator cuff, according to PWInsider, which will likely cause him to miss WrestleMania 32.

Bella took to Instagram on Tuesday and posted an update on her injury, and she also wrote that she was receiving an epidural in hopes of shrinking the bulging discs in her spine.

With the WWE Diva and Superstar absent, the company will look for other personalities to step it up. Cena is the face of the franchise, so the WWE is missing its No. 1 wrestler, while Bella took the Divas division by storm this year, setting a record with a 301-day reign as champion.
Outside of the squared circle, Cena and Bella have been in a committed relationship since 2011, but have yet to tie the knot. Both have previous marriages which could have caused their cold feet, but Bella has made it no secret she wants that ring.
Cena, for whatever reason, has yet to propose to his girlfriend, but in the teaser for the new season of "Total Divas," he told her they can "talk about marriage." With the WWE's reality show being filmed months in advance, that likely means that the "Cenation" leader is ready to pop the question soon.
With the couple now focusing their attention on recovering from their respective wounds, Cena may not be dropping down on one knee anytime soon. The pair will want to remember that moment forever, so it's unlikely they'll want to be marred by injury when the big day finally comes.
Anything can happen, but it seems like Bella may have to be patient when it comes to getting that ring she covets.
