Lakers guard Nick Young, known to many as “Swaggy P,” is set to marry one of the hottest chicks in hip-hop, Iggy Azalea. But before you get jealous, realize it may not be all it’s cracked up to be.
"Whew, a nightmare in its own," Young said of planning the wedding. "I think we should go to the courthouse. It's tough, it takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing but eventually the women always win. I think [wedding days] should just be women's day."

The Lakers are having one of the worst seasons in franchise history, which tends to be a prime opportunity for young players to shine. But Young’s averaging just 19 minutes a night, and 8.2 points, the lowest mark since 2009. That’s bad news for Swaggy, who is in the NBA because he has a reputation as a scorer.
All that “time and compromising” should be time Young is working on his game, honing his jumper so he doesn’t shoot 37 percent from the field, or studying tape to improve his court vision. It’s one thing to be a scorer, and another thing completely to average 0.5 assists.

Young is also not as young as rookie D’Angelo Russell or second-year guard Jordan Clarkson, who can afford to make mistakes. Young is 30, and if his numbers don’t begin to tick upward, he may not be long for the league anymore.
Then again, this was his birthday present from Iggy, so it looks like he’ll have a sugar mama to lean on if the NBA stops working out for him.
