Ronda Rousey has been in headlines lately for a lot of reasons that don’t involve mixed martial arts. Some are about her new roles in Hollywood, others are about her nude photos in which she only dons body paint in “Sports Illustrated.”

It might be a while before Rousey is talked about as one of the most dominant MMA athletes again, rather than a pseudo-actress and model. Rousey got knocked out cold by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in one of the biggest upsets in UFC history. Since then, the focus has been on her upcoming movies, a “Roadhouse” remake and a starring role in a film based on her autobiography.
She is also set to host “Saturday Night Live” later this month, and the internet is buzzing about these body pain pictures. She was expected to have an immediate rematch with Holm this summer, but that is out the door now that Holm is going to co-feature at UFC 197 in March against Miesha Tate.

That means Rousey may fight someone before making another run at Holm, or her return will simply be delayed until Holm-Tate happens, and she can fight the winner. That’s pretty far down the road, so until then these are the kinds of conversations that will sprout up when Rousey is the topic.
