Chip Kelly, Tennessee Titans Rumors: Former Eagles Coach Not Even Favored To Take The Job [VIDEO]

Marcus Mariota won 36 games for Oregon with Chip Kelly as his head coach, making any reunion in Tennessee a foregone conclusion.

Except it isn't ... at least not according to oddsmakers.

DeSean Jackson Should Be Happy He Left Philadelphia

The former Eagles coach barely makes the cut at 20/1 according to Onlinegambling.lv, per The Tennessean. Bovada is a bit more sensible at 2/1, but even that wasn't enough to make him the odds-on favorite. That honor went to interim head coach Mike Mularkey (3/2).

Onlinegambling had Panthers offensive coordinator (5/1), Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gasse (6/1), Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels (6/1) and Mularkey (15/1) all ahead of Kelly.

Chip Kelly Has No Choice But To Stay In NFL

Much of that has to do with his relationships at the next level.

Since he was hired as Eagles head coach in 2013, Kelly has made enemies of LeSean McCoy, Brandon Boykins and now DeSean Jackson.

Jackson -- who was cut by the Eagles after a Pro Bowl season in 2013 -- credits Karma for Kelly's unemployed status.

"I'm a firm believer that bad karma comes back on you," Jackson told MMQB. "When you ruin a team like that, you do things to peoples' families, you release people, you trade people, you get rid of good players who build something with the community, with the fans, with the kids-to have a guy come in and change up the team like that, I just believe in karma."

With a track record of alienating players like that, it's easy to understand why the Titans have been hesitant to reunite Kelly with Mariota.

Even if he's the one coach who can get the most out of their franchise QB.
