Green Bay Packers Rumors: Aaron Rodgers' Coin Toss Comments Opens Debate Over NFL Overtime Rules [VIDEO]

Throw logic out the window.

Forget the fact that the Packers defense should have done what they are paid to do and get the ball back in Aaron Rodgers' hands. Forget the fact you should probably cover a future Hall of Famer (Larry Fitzgerlad) in the flat.

Brett Favre Was Minutes From An NFL Comeback

Forget all that ... NFL fans were robbed because of a coin flip on Saturday. Scratch that, the coin didn't even flip in Green Bay's 26-20 OT loss to the Cardinals.

"He [referee Clete Blakeman] had it on heads, he was showing heads, so I called tails, and it didn't flip," Aaron Rodgers said, per NFL.com. "He just tossed it up in the air and it did not turn over at all and it landed on the ground, so we obviously thought that was not right. He picked the coin up, flipped it to tails and then he flipped it without giving me a chance to make a recall there, so it was confusing.

"I think he was trying to avoid the embarrassment of what just happened. He flipped it quickly. It's unfortunate it comes down to that."

Olivia Munn To Blame For Aaron Rodgers' Struggles This Season

Unfortunate indeed.

After an improbable hail mary toss -- the second of the season for Green Bay -- Rodgers was left on the sidelines like a patient schoolboy, watching the Cardinals offense. He stood there waiting for a turn that never came.

College football -- which gives both teams a possession in overtime -- would've seen this instant classic last at least another round. Instead -- just like when you lost your virginity -- Saturday's game was over before you knew it.

That's not the ending those 60 minutes of football deserved. Rodgers is aware of that fact. Hopefully, the NFL competition committee will be too.
