New England Patriots Update: Rob Gronkowski 'Ready To Give Some' Blows Of His Own Sunday [VIDEO]

The Broncos are prepared to lay the wood on Rob Gronkowski this Sunday. As you would expect, Gronkowski's ready to reciprocate.

The Patriots TE and his massive stature poses a threat to smaller players in the secondary. Broncos DB Chris Harris Jr. offered his strategy on how to stop him earlier in the week.

"You gotta hit him low, man," Harris Jr. told SportsCenter, per ESPN. "Hit him in his knees. That's the best chance you got of hitting him."

The best chance of actually bringing Gronkowski down isn't by hitting his knees, it's by hitting his pride -- which is what Harris Jr. did by laying down the gauntlet.

Tom Brady Has No Problem Embracing His Soft Image

"It's part of the game. I've been seeing it all year," Gronkowski said of low hits, per the team's official website. "I've been seeing it my whole career. I've just got to get low, get my shoulder down, protect the ball, just protect myself in any way when I see a lot of guys coming or when I know there's not a chance to make that many yards, possibly just go down on that play, but if you can make a play then try and make a play, get more yards, but at the same time I've just got to watch it, get your pads down.

"It's football, so you've got to be ready for contact at all times. Everyone wants to see collisions, so I'm ready to give some."

That's the kind of barbaric talk you would expect from an NFL player, but Gronkowski should be smarter in his approach. The Patriots won't benefit from his macho crusade.

Gronkowski couldn't survive 60 minutes against the Broncos in Week 12 and he wasn't even looking for trouble.

He was carted off the field in the fourth quarter. It's no surprise the Patriots went on to lose that game, 30-24 in OT.

Everyone wants to see collisions on Sunday, Gronkowski, just not in New England. Your health takes precedence overall.
