Buffalo Bills Rumors: Mario Williams & Other Players Team Must Cut To Succeed In 2016 [VIDEO]

Mario Williams' locker room presence has become too problematic in Buffalo, but he's not the only player the Bills should consider cutting in the offseason.

Below is a complete list of players the team should sever ties with in 2016.

Rex Ryan Should Worry About His Job Instead Of His Son

Mario Williams

All signs point to Williams being released in the offseason. Even his teammates began to question his commitment to the Bills.

"It's been clear to me that Mario doesn't care about anybody but himself," one player said anonymously, per CBS Sports. "He followed that up by not giving any effort during the season and complaining about the scheme instead of manning up and saying he played like crap and doesn't care."

Another player added: "Zero effort. The tape speaks for itself. He takes two steps and stops."

The Bills should make sure his next two steps are out of Buffalo.

Dan Carpenter

The premise to cut Dan Carpenter carries one caveat: bring in another kicker to win the job.

Carpenter is owed $2.8 million in 2016, but the Bills can recoup $2.3 million of that if he's cut after June 1, per The Buffalo News. The situation puts Buffalo in a win-win. Either Carpenter returns to form in 2016, or the Bills find a better option and recoup a huge chunk of his base salary.

Leodis McKelvin

In Leodis McKelvin's defense, he's dedicated to the cause in Buffalo.

"For me personally, my goal is to stay here and get this team to the playoffs," McKelvin said, per Buffalo Rumblings. "No matter how many years it takes, that's my goal."

He'll have to put his money where his mouth is, though. The Bills can recieve $3.9 million in cap savings if the 30-year-old is cut before June 1. If McKelvin is truly dedicated to remaining a Bill, he'll take the pay cut that's asked of him.

If not, he'll serve as another cap casualty.
