Not only were Patriots fans hyped up for a return to the Super Bowl, even Tom Brady’s family was confidently posting online.

At the end of the day though, they may have jinxed their man Brady, who had his worst game of the year. For the first time this year Brady was held to a completion rate below 50 percent, and he threw more than one interception for just the second time, and first since Week 13. He was battling pressure from the Broncos from the opening drive, and Denver was able to sack him four times. Von Miller was particularly vicious, accounting for two of those sacks plus a game-changing pick.

Don’t feel too bad for Brady though. His gorgeous, supermodel wife and healthy kids will still love him when he gets home, and New England will be back in the mix next year.
