Super Bowl 50: Peyton Manning Looking To End Career On High Note [VIDEO]

At 39 years of age, Peyton Manning faces an uncertain future after this NFL season. He had been struggling until that superb performance he gave in the AFC Championship Game, which allowed the Broncos to upstage the favored Patriots.

While Manning shone brightly despite his age against Tom Brady, the case could be different against Cam Newton.

Newton has been coming up big and one of the reasons why the Panthers were one of favorites from Day 1 of this season. And seeing that the Panthers are the odds-on-favorite to win it all, Manning and the Broncos have their work cut out for them.

For Manning, winning another Super Bowl could be the icing on his career. But younger brother Eli says Peyton doesn’t need another Super Bowl win to cement his legacy, via the Sydney Morning Herald.

"Honestly, I think there's maybe too much placed on rings and Super Bowl championships just because it's not one player," Eli said.

The Giants quarterback feels too much pressure is on his brother, stressing that there are other factors to a potential Broncos victory.

Peyton has obviously shown the wear and tear of his 18-year career with the Broncos and the Colts.

“I really tried to take it one week at a time all season long through my injuries and some of the other things that have gone on,” says Manning, via The Washington Post. “Just kind of staying in the moment, taking it one week at a time, not assuming that, ‘Hey, this is how it’s gonna be. This is the final decision here one way or the other.'”

Despite what Eli or other critics think, it will all be up to Peyton when he suits up on Feb. 7 for Super Bowl 50.
