Tyson Fury Retire: Heavyweight Champion Hints At Retirement [POLL, VIDEO]

Tyson Fury is someone who can surprise anyone but his latest episode could come as a shock if he goes through with it.

Claiming he has been struggling to get motivated, the recently crowned WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion is thinking about quitting the sport, which could place the planned rematch between him and Wladimir Klitschko in jeopardy.

That rematch has yet to be announced, but BBC.com hints that it could probably take place either this May or June.

"There is life after boxing and I don't know what I'm going to do at the moment," he said. "I haven't even cemented I am going to fight in a rematch."

Fury is just 27 years old and the sudden loss of appetite comes as a surprise. He was recently seen jawing with Deontay Wilder, which spurred up another possible mega fight but even that now could vanish.

"I could walk away. I could just sail into the sunset unbeaten with all the belts and live a normal life," Fury said.

Fury has not officially returned for training, though he has been running and lifting some weights.

He was recently under heat for his sexist remarks, though it wasn’t mentioned if this had anything to do with his sudden loss of motivation. The only thing that seems clear is the Fury wants to spend more time with his family rather than rack in more money and secure his legacy in boxing.

"All that I would be boxing for is money and I always thought to myself I never want to let sport become about money,” Fury said via Reuters.
