Brandon Jacobs Death Threat On Twitter [PHOTO]: Giants RB Receives Tweet From Angry Fan Threatening Him And His Family

Brandon Jacobs spoke out last week about some Twitter users being "cyber-gangsters," and this week a user that fit that description threatened Jacobs' life and his family if the New York Giants running back didn't rush for 50 yards against the Minnesota Vikings. The bad news for that particular user, or perhaps Jacobs depending on how literally the tweet is taken, is that the bruising back was inactive Monday when the Giants notched their first win of the season with a 23-7 victory over the Vikings.

Tuesday morning, the New York Daily News reported that Jacobs tweeted a picture of the threat he got from the fan and headed it with the phrase, "Look at what we deal with ..."

The person making the threat was apparently named "Andre Raynor" and the tweets came from a since-deactivated account called @DMMeBoo. A Giants spokesman told the Daily News that the tweets have been reported to NFL security and the NFL declined to comment on the matter.

Jacobs posted what the disgruntled fan angrily tweeted:

"Raynor" backtracked Tuesday morning after Jacobs posted the tweet. After first responding, "Brandon Jacobs really subtweeted me like a hoe," from the name "Pacers Going 98-0," he began to seek Jacobs' forgiveness while saying he wasn't seriously going to attack him.

The threatening fan posted:

"BRO RELAX ITS NEVER THAT SERIOUS.. ITS JUST TWITTER MAN. I TRUELY APOLOGIZE I COULD NEVER ACTUALLY DO THAT. RETWEET THIS PLEASE" "FORGIVE ME MAN ITS NOT EVEN LIKE THAT... REALLY IM TRYNA BE YOUR FRIEND !!"

The fan, who said he was planning on changing his Twitter handle and didn't think Jacobs would respond to him, continued to implore Jacobs for his forgiveness but the running back has yet to acknowledge him.

"BRANDON.. CAN YOU AT LEAST TALK ABOUT IT TO ME I REALLY DIDNT MEAN IT," the person tweeted.

The Daily News reports that Jacobs had another interaction with an angry fan on Twitter named "Eric White" who tweeted:

Jacobs responded by saying, "F**k you and your fantasy team.. This is my real life.."

"I've heard nice things on Twitter and I've heard super bad things on Twitter," Jacobs told the Daily News. "But Twitter is Twitter. You've got your little cyber-gangsters out there that try to be strong behind the keyboard. But it is what it is. That's what it is. Someone created that platform for people to I guess get their rocks off without getting punched in the mouth."

Through five games, Jacobs has three touchdowns and has rushed for 154 yards on 44 carries.
