Erin Andrews' stalker revealed the sketchy and creepy details behind what led to him to videotape the sportscaster naked through a peephole.
Michael David Barrett, a former insurance executive, discussed the events leading to the film in taped testimony on Monday. Andrews is suing the Nashville Marriott for their role in the ordeal back in 2008.

Barrett revealed he came up with the plan after seeing that Andrews was trending on Yahoo.
"I watch a lot of sports," he said in the testimony, according to The New York Post. "That's how I knew who she was."

Barrett added that he regretted his actions and only decided to film her and try to sell the tape in order to get out of a "financial bind."
The peeping Tom requested a room right next to Andrews' and when he was told it wasn't available, he found a house phone and called the hotel operator to find out where she was staying.
"They connected me," Barrett said about the operators. "On the house phone it shows a room number, so I knew what room she was in."
Barrett then said he went up to the 10th floor, where Andrews was lodging, and saw a maid cleaning the room next to hers. He also said he heard her talking on the phone, so he knew he had the right room.
He then requested to stay in that room and the hotel obliged. After hearing Andrews leave, his seedy plan went into action.
"I removed the peephole, altered it," he said. "I cut off the threads so it was basically a plug and could be put back in."
Once Andrews returned and Barrett heard the shower running, he readied to film her.
"I went back to the room, and unfortunately for both of us, I could hear that the shower was on in her room when I walked by," he said, adding he's "not proud" of what he did.
After uploading the film to his computer, he unsuccessfully tried to sell it to TMZ in a plan he claimed was "pretty ill-conceived" back in 2013.
Andrews was visibly upset leaving the courtroom before the testimony began, according to The Post.
