Bill Goldberg WWE Return Rumors: 3 Reasons Former World Champion Should Come Back At 'WrestleMania 32' [VIDEO]

It's time for Bill Goldberg to return to the WWE.

Every year around WrestleMania season, many fans hope the former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion will return. Every year, those folks are disappointed.

Potential WrestleMania Opponents For Goldberg

Goldberg hasn't appeared in a WWE ring since 2004, and though he came close to a return two years ago, he has remained outside of the organization. With WrestleMania 32 set to air April 3, it's the perfect time for a comeback.

Here are three reasons why Goldberg should return to the WWE for the "Show of Shows."

Ranking The Potential Outcomes Of The Divas Title Match At WrestleMania

1) It's Getting Late

Goldberg will turn 50 in December and though The Undertaker will prove at WrestleMania 32 that age is just a number, not everyone can thrive in the ring past 50. As Sting, 56, showed with his Night of Champions neck injury, the older you get, the harder it is to recover.

Goldberg was 37 the last time he suited up for a match in Vince McMahon's company. Though he makes sporadic appearances in other promotions, he should return to WWE before it's too late.

2) Lasting Impression

The last match Goldberg participated in under the WWE umbrella was absolutely forgettable. The former master of the 173-0 streak took on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX in 2004. The entire audience knew both men were leaving and turned against the match, cheering only for referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Neither competitor was into the match and it surely showed as the two stunk up Madison Square Garden. Lesnar has since returned and has more than made up for that match, but for now, it remains Goldberg's lasting legacy during a woeful WWE stint.

3) Reeling Roster

The WWE should reel Goldberg in as a way to generate buzz for WrestleMania. Many people aren't into the planned main event of Roman Reigns vs. Triple H, so the WWE should do its best to round out the card with crowd-pleasing matches.

There is also a severe lack of depth on the roster as John Cena (shoulder), Seth Rollins (leg), Randy Orton (shoulder), Cesaro (shoulder), Nikki Bella (neck) and Daniel Bryan (concussion, retired) are among the many huge names missing this year. The WWE needs a marquee draw and Goldberg can fill the void.
