Seth Rollins Injury Return Update: 'Architect' Even Closer To In-Ring Return [VIDEO]

The "Architect" has rebuilt himself and is inching even closer to a return.

Seth Rollins has been sidelined since November due to a serious knee injury, but he has been on the comeback trail.

It's expected that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will miss WrestleMania 32 on April 3, but he at least has shown some signs of progress as he eyes an in-ring return.

In fact, the in-ring part is the key to everything for Rollins.

Rollins has gotten back into the ring and is beginning to workout inside of the squared circle at the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy in Illinois, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet editor-in-chief Ryan Satin. This is the first time "The Architect" has been able to return to the ring since undergoing reconstructive knee surgery in November.

It was an unfortunate ending to a 2015 that was so promising for Rollins. The former Shield member shocked the world at WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to crash his former stablemate Roman Reigns' main event bout with Brock Lesnar and turn it into a Triple Threat Match.

From there, Rollins went on to have an amazing in-ring year in 2015 putting on several Match of the Year candidate bouts prior to the injury. One of the highlights saw The Authority's golden boy knock off John Cena in a title-for-title match and capture the United States Championship at SummerSlam in August.

Rollins has been sorely missed from the product in recent months after having to relinquish his belt due to the injury. After a tournament, Reigns claimed the gold by knocking off Dean Ambrose at Survivor Series, but it is now around the waist of Triple H. "The Game" will defend against Reigns at the "Show of Shows" this year live from AT&T Stadium in Texas.

The 2015 Superstar of the Year is still a long way away from returning as he was originally slated to miss 6-9 months, but at least he's getting closer to a comeback.
