Veteran center Tyson Chandler hinted that he wants out of Phoenix and could demand for a trade if the Suns do not become a title contender in the near future.
Chandler, who signed a four-year contract worth $52 million with the Suns last summer, suggested in a recent interview with the Arizona Republic that he wants to play for a title contender, and not for a rebuilding team.

"For me, especially where I am in my career, I want to win," Chandler said. "I want to win now. I'm not in any kind of rebuilding stage. So if that's the case, it ain't where I'm supposed to be."
Chandler was viewed as one of the players who could improve the Suns' chances of making an impact in the playoffs, but the partnership between the Suns and the 33-year-old center has not produced good results in the desert this season.
The Suns have the third-worst record in the league at 19-50 with 13 games left to play this season. Phoenix parted ways with former head coach Jeff Hornacek earlier in the season and named Earl Watson as interim head coach. Watson has laid out the ground work for the direction of the squad, but Chandler thinks time is running out for him.

But while Chandler hinted that he wants out of the Suns, Yardbarker indicated that it will be hard for him to find a possible landing spot in the event the Suns decide to trade him. It remains to be seen whether or not title contenders will be interested in taking a 33-year-old who will earn $13 million a year in the next three seasons.
The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers were interested in Chandler before, but the two contenders are unlikely to knock on Phoenix's door unless the Suns are willing to take a bad contract in return. The 14-year veteran is averaging just 6.5 points and 8.6 rebounds this season, and has missed 11 games due to injuries.
