Alex Rodriguez is departing from his normal dating patterns.
In the past, the Yankees slugger was linked to such blonde bombshells as Torrie Wilson, Cameron Diaz, Madonna and Kate Hudson, but it seems he's moving on from his usual type. He's also in the rare position of dating someone wealthier than he is.
Rodriguez has been dating Anne Wojcicki, the brunette ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, for at least a month, according to Page Six. The one-time World Series champion has been spotted at various different outings alongside Wojcicki, including a stop at a steakhouse in Tampa, Fla., during Yankees' spring training.
"Alex and Anne are spending time together and have been on a few dates," a source told the publication. "It is very new. He finds her interesting, inspirational and very smart."
On top of her former link to the Google co-founder, Wojcicki is the CEO and co-founder of genetic research firm 23andMe, which she formed in 2006 to give costumers genetic information pertaining to their health and ancestry.
While Rodriguez is worth $300 million, according to Celebritynetworth.com, it is believed Wojcicki is worth billions after her divorce from Brin.
Wojcicki recently spoke at the Professional BusinessWomen conference in California.
"There are men, women and a--holes. You just have to avoid the a--holes," she said via Page Six.
She added: "I had a fairly public divorce, and the family therapist said the way you handle this will impact your grandchildren ... How you live your life will impact generations to come."
Rodriguez has had a sordid history with women, but perhaps changing it up from his usual pattern will lead to a successful relationship for the slugger.
His marriage with Cynthia Scurtis came to an end in 2007 after word got out that he was cheating on his wife in Toronto.
An erotic dancer by the name as Joslyn Noel Morse, who was also blonde, was later revealed to be the woman in question and reports of other affairs popped up, leading to the split.
The 14-time All-Star was recently with Wilson for three years, but the couple split up in February 2015 for myriad reasons, which included his flirtatious behavior toward other women. They have still remained friends, however.
