Lamar Odom's demons continue to get the best of him, and could keep him from a reunion with Khloe Kardashian.
The two-time NBA champion's sordid history with drugs and alcohol is well-documented, and most notably led him to a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in October.
Odom has made great strides in his recovery, including hiking with the Kardashian family and attending Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York City.
In the wee hours of the morning on Easter Sunday, however, Odom shockingly was seen drinking at an Irish pub with two friends, according to TMZ. Patrons and workers at the Johnny O'Brien pub in Sherman Oaks, Calif., told the affiliate that the former NBA star came in and had three Remy Martin drinks.
The eyewitnesses said Odom arrived shortly before midnight on Saturday and left at 1 a.m. Sunday morning. He later attended an Easter Sunday mass with the Kardashians.
Obviously given the crisis he went through a mere five months ago, it's hard to imagine that Odom is once again hitting the booze. Not only is it bad for his recovery, but it also may keep him from rekindling his romance with Kardashian.
The reality star saw Odom at his lowest points when it comes to his addictions and his cheating ways, and finally had enough when she filed for divorce. Kardashian eventually halted the proceedings to make medical decisions and support Odom financially after his overdose, but she stated she intends to eventually complete the process.
Though Odom has made an effort to rekindle the romance he once shared with Kardashian, the "Kocktails with Khloe" host has been working on repairing their friendship, not focusing on love. The best-selling author also recently said she believes she'll find the right person -- even if it's not Odom.
"I definitely think Lamar was my soul mate," Kardashian said in a video posted by ABC News, "but I still think that you could have different soul mates for different layers of your life. I'll never discredit that. I'll never discredit our journey together and the way that we loved, and I'll never apologize for that. That doesn't mean I can't have another soul mate."
After Odom once again turned to alcohol, the chances of him getting Kardashian back have likely taken an even bigger hit.
