Kyrie Irving, Kehlani Relationship Update: Cavs Star Breaks Silence About Suicide Attempt, Blames Singer's Ex [VIDEO]

Kyrie Irving broke his silence, and then erased his first public statements about his ex-girlfriend Kehlani's suicide attempt.

The singer revealed a since-deleted photo on Instagram of herself in a hospital bed hooked up to an IV. Kehlani wrote a detailed caption about wanting to leave the earth after rumors she cheated on the Cavaliers star with her ex-boyfriend turned her into a source of angst on social media.

Kehlani's ex, singer PartyNextDoor, whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, shared a picture on social media of himself in bed with her. When social media started buzzing over the picture, people believed that the tattooed 20-year-old was cheating on Irving with Brathwaite, when in fact they had broken up.

Shaken up by the horrible things being said about her on social media, Kehlani apparently tried to take her own life. Irving stayed quiet about the whole situation before taking to Twitter Wednesday night and taking aim at Brathwaite.

"I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this non sense that could have been avoided," Irving wrote in a since-deleted tweet, according to TMZ.

Irving and Kehlani, who was placed in a psychiatric hold, were friends before dating, but he confirmed they had parted ways prior to Brathwaite sharing the photo.

"Me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out," Irving tweeted

In Kehlani's Instagram post, she tried to defend herself against the haters by explaining how she felt and noting that she had in fact split with Irving before the photo of her in bed with Brathwaite hit the Internet.

"I am severely utterly in love with my first love," her post read. "Went thru a bad breakup and ended up easing into a relationship with a man who was one of my bestfriend [Irving]. Tho we realized we both weren't exactly at a time where we were prepared to do so."

Irving has no ill-will toward Kehlani and made sure to include her in his tweets before deleting them.

"Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family," he wrote. "My only focus the Game I love to play every night."

The Cavaliers are 52-22 this season and rank first in the Eastern Conference.
